The petrol versions get none of that and are assessed on displacement like any other small crossover, which is not expensive but is not free either. Required export documentation

For a car registered in the UAE, which covers nearly all of this stock, you need the original registration card, which is the Mulkiya, the RTA Export Certificate, temporary export plates, a bank NOC if there was finance, proof that fines and Salik are cleared, and about 14 days of insurance on the export plates.

For one never registered here, the dealer's purchase invoice replaces the Mulkiya and travels with a Certificate of Origin.

Both routes need your passport or Emirates ID, the seller's ID on a used transfer, a sale invoice showing price and VIN, the Dubai Customs export declaration, a VCC for GCC destinations, and the Bill of Lading. Two things carry everything here. The powertrain stated explicitly, either battery-electric with no combustion engine, or petrol with the engine capacity recorded as a figure. A document that says only Kona describes three different tax positions and the assessor will not choose the one that favours you. And, on the electric car, the battery capacity in kilowatt-hours plus the dangerous-goods paperwork travelling with the shipping documents. Keep originals with your copies, and check the drive-side rule and whether a Certificate of Conformity is required.
